| Hey, I just wanted to let you know that Mike Tanaro's retreat lessons are now online so be sure to listen to them. I just know that they will be especially helpful and encouraging to all of you that are still on the field! They can be found at www.aimsunset.org/lessons so check them out. In about a week and a half we will be attending the World Mission Workshop that is being hosted by LCU this year. It will be great to be so close by this year. We are also housing some of the college students that will be coming. It should be like Camp Adventure as we will put up to 3 extra people in each AIM apartment! We also leave for our Paducah trip just after that. I love that trip and can't wait. Kris | | |
| Well, it has been a while... Things here are going very well. The class will be hearing from France today and Scotland tomorrow. Time is just flying by. In only a few weeks we will be leaving for our Paducah trip already. It just doesnt' seem possible. The air is getting a little colder here which is great. I love this time of year. Lubbock's second Target store will be opening next month which is big stuff for Lubbock! Just for those who haven't been here in a little while, Cline has officially moved out of his office to work at home. His office for so many years is being made into an extension of the Heritage room that was connected to his office already. He is missed around the school but his health just won't allow him to get out much. Keep him in your prayers. Keep the new class in your prayers too. They are in the middle of mid-terms so that can be a little stressful. Keep up the good work where you are. Both the world and the church back home need your example! You are the heros, Kris | | |
| Well, can you believe it, AIM starts in ONE week! We just finished our AIM staff retreat and it was great. We have an awesome staff this year. We are excited about the new class arriving next Saturday but we have a lot of work to do before then getting everything ready. Be praying for them as they say goodbyes and get on the road to scenic Lubbock, Texas. I hope you're all doing well! Lubbock is hot and dry and that makes for extra ugly. Oh well, Keep all of us in your prayers these next few weeks because it will be busy!!!
You are the heros!

| Wow, today we leave with some of Sunset's youth (seniors) for their senior trip to the Price Is Right in LA. We will be there Monday for the taping and then go to Universal Studios on Tuesday. Should be an awesome trip. We'll be driving a lot so keep us in your prayers,
The new AIM class is holding right around 60+ so it will be a good size class but not the record breaker we were imagining.

| Oh man, 102 degrees today! You guys are missing the best Lubbock has to offer. When it is like this it is like seeing a mirage in the desert. Shimmering waves and then you wonder if maybe you are seeing the ocean at the end of the street! The only thing cooler than that is being somewhere that actually has the ocean at the end of the street!
Once the Russia team is on their fields then almost the whole class will be getting busy doing what you prepared here to do. Really take the time to soak in everything around you because this (the best part of AIM) will slip by you before you know it. Be perceptive and look for opportunities around you to introduce people to the church and Jesus. Step out of your comfort zone. I have already heard of some pretty neat things happening on several of the fields. Of course, be constantly praying for God to open up doors for you with people where you are.
You are the Heros!
